In May 2008 we took on a project with MCD Marketing in Pitstone, Bucks. The project involved crushing Corian worktops for use in the Chelsea flower show. The garden project was called “Gavin Jones Garden of Corian” by Philip Nash and can be seen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/chelsea/show_gardens/elevations.shtml. and was one of the main show gardens Rubble Monkey travelled to Mega Marble in Wembley, London within sight of the stadium for 3 days of crushing. The worktops are 90% granite with a 10% added polymer to give it it’s colour. They are approx 1.2m by 3m and weigh upto 400kg each. |
